Karen and Jeffrey Moore are the founders and owners of Djuna.

Both of the Moore’s bring a fine arts background to the design table. Karen owned folk and contemporary art galleries in San Antonio, Texas. Jeffrey was trained as a painter and printmaker, but switched to leadership roles at art schools including Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village.

 

They met while living in San Antonio. Jeffrey was the executive director of the San Antonio Center for the Arts and founding director of the Blue Star Art Space. Karen, an independent Art Gallery owner, was on the Blue Star Art Space’s board.  Their shared love of the Arts led them to the idea of Djuna.

 

As leaders in the arts community, their discerning eyes and standout talent naturally led them to the world of design. The duo expanded their business to support their customer’s interior design needs.

Since 1996, Djuna has developed a strong following of clients who truly appreciate being surrounded by well-made, timeless, beautiful things combined with their interesting and unique items they’ve collected.
